Day 11: staying in the historic town of Kiragawa

Today I have not walked a lot, just 15 km (total now: 213 km). The temperature was at 24 degrees Celcius, but in the sun it felt still very hot. I had to master 200 meters of altitude to reach temple Kongochoji (T26).

The highlight of today was the historic old town of Kiragawa, where I was lucky to attend a local festival. The festival wagon is carried by a number of man and later moved around in a circle at fast speed. This requires physical strength and good teamwork of all participants.
