Day 25: school children are supporting the O-Henro pilgrims from all over the world
Today I started early to leave the guesthouse I talked about yesterday. It was the most inferior one which I have stayed in so far. So I skipped breakfast and left the house at 6:00 a.m. to meet Corinne who stayed in a location with similar issues about 2 km away. We walked together 30 km (total walking distance now: 536 km) passing Sukumo and a mountain pass with very steep inclines, returned back to the ocean and finished the tour at T40 (Kanjizaiji) in Ainan. Total altitude today: 510 m. The morning temperature was just 10 degrees Celsius (indicating that is autumn and getting colder), but increased up to 18 degrees during the day. It was sunny and felt occasionally still hot, when walking without shadow.
Just for clarity: the food picture I posted yesterday was not from my last night stay. It was from Hotel Kan in Cape Ashizuri.
