Day 26: Uwajima Castle

Today I walked not so much as compared to the previous two days: 15 km from Tsujima to Uwajima and 5 km in the town (total now at 556 km). Most of the walk was along not very interesting car roads and a 1.7 km long car tunnel. Temperature was at 21 degrees Celsius, sunny and cloudy. Altitude: 130 m.

Uwajima Castle is one of the 12 remaining castle towers from the Edo Period and regarded as an important cultural property and historic site.

I liked the castle appearance in particular in the sun light of the late afternoon.

For the night I stay at the Oriental Business Hotel Uwajima.
