Day 38: contrasting temples

Discipline and the will to do all and everything goes down. Today I took a bus from Saijo city bus terminal up to temple T61 Yokomineji temple, which lies 750 meters high in the mountains. The walk down from there to Business Ryokan Komstsu was still 3 hours and included also at least 150 meters of uphill walk. Total walking distance today was 19 km (total: 842 km). The weather was sunny and warm at max. temperatures of 23 degrees Celcius.

The temple in the mountains was nice and traditional, with mountain trees already changing colors. Koonji temple in Komatsu T61, was something I had not seen before. A new, modern and massive structure build out of concrete and tiles. All looking unusual brutal. I have not had the time to find out the reasons when and why the main temple had been constructed just in that way. Judge yourself from the appearance, whether or not you like it. By the way it was difficult to make a good photo.
