I left the business ryokan Komatsu early in the morning at 6:30 a.m. and visited 3 temples (T62-T64) which were not very far from the overnight stay.
The day started sunny, but after 2 hours it got misty and cloudy, in particular in the mountains. So I had to give up the plan to go with the ropeway up to the highest mountain of Shikoku which is Mount Ishizuchi. It is a pity, that I could not do that, since the mountain peak as such and the view over the island must be spectacular.
So I took the train to Iso-Mishima and went up to the mountain temple T65 Sankakuji. This required again to walk up and mange 350 meters of altitude.
The total walking distance today was 25 km (total: 867 km). The highest temperature during the cloudy day was 23 degrees Celcius.

When you want to visit a temple, you most often have to walk up steep stone steps |

Another way to bring color to a garden: Kochia (summer cypress) |
Many of the people in the picture wear face masks. I know that they always have been doing so in Japan when suffering from a cold. Or are they still more careful to prevent Corona? More than it is usual now all over the world. By the way, I still prefer wearing a mask travelling by public transport for example
